FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS, RIGID CARGO BARRIERS, OXYGEN SYSTEMS, INTEGRATED CONTROL SYSTEMS, AIRCRAFT DATA ACQUISITION

Ventura Aerospace has been building andfielding data acquisition systems for many years. From very high speed to very high channel count we have the experience to get you the right system. We also have the engineering capability to analyze the data.

Our systems have been used in a wide variety of applications including high speed aerodynamic boundary layer measurements, acoustical measurement, vibration measurement, strain measurement and aircraft parameter measurement.

Ventura Aerospace can develop test systems that will be used for short periods of testing or take the extra step of mounting the solution for long term reliable use.

Ventura Aerospace can provide onsite engineers during all phases of instrumenation and data acquistion project. These engineers can install sensors operate the system and provide data reduction and reporting for use in FAA certification.

As a National Instruments Alliance Partner, Ventura Aerospace has the resources and the experience to provide high quality aerospace quality data acquisition systems. Ventura Aerospace can provide complete integrated solutions for stand alone operation or for manned operation.

High Speed Analog Measurement

Primarily used for boundary layer measurements, these high speed data systems are used to characterise the aerodynamic impact of installed radomes, stores and hard point installations. Sensor inputs include the following.

  • Analog Voltage with sample rates in excess of 1000Hz are available on as many as 256 channels.
  • Accelerometer for Shock and Vibration data systems with real time frequency analysis.
  • Temperature
  • Strain
  • Flight Test Specific
    • Rudder Force Pedals
    • Control Wheel Force

Boundary Layer Measurement

Ventura Aerospace has four pitot rakes that can be mounted to the fusealge of an aircraft. These pitot rakes are used to characterise the boundary layer.

  • One 36 inch pitot rake with 34 high speed pitot tubes.
  • Three 24 inch pitot rake with 22 high speed pitot tubes.

Each pitot tube has an integrated accelerometer to monitor health.

Differential GPS Aircraft Position Recording System

Differential GPS Aircraft Position Recording System provides a post-processed time history of aircraft position for the purposes of Stage III Noise Testing, Airspeed Calibrations, and Runway Performance Testing. The system consists of two Marconi Allstar GPS receivers with associated hardware that logs real time satellite data simultaneously at a base station and on the test aircraft. This system is FAA approved to provide Time-Space Position Information for each of these types of testing. The system consists of two Marconi Allstar GPS receivers with associated hardware. One GPS logging system is used at a base station and a second GPS logging system is on the aircraft to record raw satellite data during testing. The data from the two systems is then post-processed to provide a differentially corrected time history of the aircraft position. The data is then reduced further with methods that vary depending upon the type of test and the desired data output. The different tests and data reduction methods are presented in the following sections.
