The Ventura Aerospace fire suppression system can target the location of a fire and prevent smoldering. A smoldering fire can become much more once an aircraft is prepared for landing. A Cargo Foam based suppression can remain in suspension for up to eight hours and continue to suppress a fire while suitable emergency procedures are followed and the aircraft is landed. Halon suppression methods significantly loose effectiveness over time as the concentration levels decline.
